The Last Lecture

A girlfriend of mine that I worked with on Disney Cruise Line recommended this book. She knew I was into personal development and doing what you love so she told me I had to read “The Last Lecture”.

Have you ever thought about what you would want to tell the world before you died? Have you ever imagined what people would say at your funeral? I know that it seems really morbid but this is how this book came to be.

A university professor, Randy Pausch, was asked to give a “Last Lecture” (apparently many professors are asked to give talks like this where they think about their death and then what they most want to communicate to the world). The difference for Pausch was that he has been diagnosed with terminal cancer so his “Last Lecture” was the real deal.

You can find his last lecture in video form online and this book is the extension of it.

“The Last Lecture” is full of incredible life lessons and experiences, sad and happy moments and most importantly wisdom that makes you think about your own life.

This is a great read to help ground you in where you are now, where you want to be and give you a little extra drive to not waste any time because “time is all you have… and you may find one day you have less than you think.” (Randy Pausch)
